Our dentistry team has over 51-years of combined dental experience between them and a shared passion for lifelong learning. In fact, our staff continues to take higher education courses, studying the latest in technological advances and techniques to stay abreast of new developments in the industry and provide the best possible care to our patients.
Dr. Eric is a dentist who offers a unique combination of artistic skill coupled with advanced scientific techniques. He has a special talent and vision for cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Eric has spent many hours studying the relationship between a healthy mouth and a healthy body. He has been bringing the best and the latest in dentistry to Northwest Indiana for over 30 years.
Dr. Eric is a member of the American Dental Association, the Indiana Dental Association, the Northwest Indiana Dental Association, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the American Laser Academy, the American Academy of General Dentistry, and the Chicago Dental Society. He is certified in sedation dentistry and belongs to the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation.
He has fellowships in the International Congress of Oral Implantology and Midwest Implant Institute. Dr. Eric is also the owner of a Mini Dental Implant Center of America. He is on staff at Community Hospital and Franciscan Hospitals in Dyer and Hammond.
Dr. Eric started Dental Home Health, a service that brings dentistry to the houses and facilities for those unable to go to the dentist. He is also the director of Dental Services at Hartsfield Village.
Dr. Eric is an entrepreneur with multiple business ventures. In 2017, he was voted innovator of the year by The Society of Innovators.
When not in the office, Dr. Eric enjoys spending time with his family. He is married with four children. He and his wife are very supportive in the community and schools, and they serve on many boards. Dr. Eric also likes classic and exotic sports cars, hockey, golfing, tennis, and skiing.
Dr. Mark J. Broomhead graduated dental school from the University of Illinois at Chicago in May 2005. There he received the Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
In 2017, Dr. Mark was an honoree for the Incisal Edge Dental Magazine. He was recognized as one of the top 40 dentists under 40 in the country.
Dr. Mark holds a dual dental license in both Illinois and Indiana. Dr. Mark has completed an advanced certification and is a Premier Provider for Invisalign®. He is certified in Sedation Dentistry. He is also trained in Botox® by the American Academy of Facial Esthetics (AAFE). Dr. Mark is an active member in the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, the Indiana Dental Society, the Northwest Indiana Dental Association, and the Chicago Dental Society. Dr. Mark is committed to the continuing education these societies offer and regularly attends educational seminars so he remains current with the latest dental research and new advancements in esthetic as well as general dentistry.
Dr. Mark grew up in nearby Lansing, IL. In his free time, he loves spending time with his wife Amanda, who also works in the field of dentistry, as a registered dental hygienist, and spending time with his daughter. Dr. Mark also enjoys competing in International Triathlons, especially the Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon, where he was a member of “Team Fox” and raised funds for Parkinson’s research.
Dr. George Politakis, a Northwest Indiana native, graduated from Purdue University with a bachelor’s and master’s in biology. Following that, he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Indiana University School of Dentistry. With the ability to helppeople obtain the smile they love, as well as relieve pain, Dr. Politakis has found what he believes to be his dream job in this profession. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Indiana Dental Association, and Northwest Indiana Dental Association. He has taken courses to expand his skill set to better serve his patients in Endodontics (Root Canal Therapy), Dental Implant Surgery, and Clear Aligner Orthodontics.
Outside of Dentistry, Dr. Politakis loves traveling, sports, and spending time with friends and family. His two favorite sports, by far, are football and golf. He is a die-hard Chicago Bears fan and really loves a good Soldier Field tailgate! Dr. Politakis has a sporting event bucket list and hopes he can go to Augusta, Georgia in the near future and witness The Masters live.
